Mike Buhrmann is the Managing Director of 1024 Partners, a Seattle-based private investment group. Most recently, Mike was the Chairman of the Board of Directors for m-Qube which was acquired by VeriSign Inc. (Nasdaq:VRSN) in April 2006. Mike was also an advisor to UIEvolution which was acquired by Square Enix USA in March 2004.

Mike has over 28 years experience in building technology businesses. Prior to 1024 Partners, Mike was the founder, President and CEO of @mobile which, through an acquisition by Software.com and a merger with Phone.com, became Openwave Systems Inc. (Nasdaq:OPWV), where he served as Senior Vice President of Industry Development. Mike also held senior executive positions with McCaw Cellular and AT&T Wireless. Mike holds more than a dozen patents involving wireless communications technology through McCaw Cellular and AT&T Wireless. He was a pioneer in creating the Wireless Intelligent Network (WIN), founded and chaired the Universal Wireless Communications Consortium (UWCC), and previously sat on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA). He has had extensive international experience planning and deploying telecom and wireless systems in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States.

Mike is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Inologic, Inc.; is Chairman of the Board of Directors for Grace’s Kitchen; is Chairman of the Management Board for Premier Payment Services Inc.; and is a member of the Board of Directors of both BridgePort Networks, Inc. and JumpTap Inc.

Mike received his Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto; and post graduate studies in Business Administration.
