In 2007 BCE Capital, the venture capital arm of BCE Inc. (NYSE:BCE), spun out into an independent fund and changed its name to Summerhill Venture Partners. BCE Inc. owns some of Canada’s most respected high-tech and media companies including Bell Mobility (Canada’s leading mobile communications provider), Bell Canada (Canada’s largest incumbent communications service provider) and Bell ExpressVu (Canada's largest direct-to-home satellite television provider). BCE Inc. remains an investor in Summerhill.
