Ommer brings to Summerhill over 15 years of experience in finance.
He manages Summerhill’s finance, information systems and administrative functions in addition to providing financial and legal support to the investment team.
Prior to joining Summerhill Ommer was the Vice-President, Finance of AMG Canada (formerly known as First Asset Management Inc.), a holding company with equity interests in several leading Canadian asset management firms. Prior to First Asset, he held financial positions with MDC Partners Inc. (NASDAQ & TSX: MDZ.A), which held interests in marketing communications, secured transaction and Internet professional services businesses. Ommer commenced his professional career at Coopers & Lybrand.
Ommer is a Chartered Accountant. He obtained a BA-Honours, Specialist in Management from the University of Toronto and an MBA degree from the Johnson School at Cornell University.
